I'd take the 3/8" radius, but then I'm a repairman, not a designer.

Now, I'm a bit confused. Is pencil not the same as eased. My fabricator doesn't even offer eased that's why I thought they're the same. The edge of the pencil looks a bit rounder than eased.

I've always thought I had an eased edge, but now I think it might be a pencil edge. It has a slightly curved feel, but for all intents and purposes appears similar to eased. In the kitchen I have 4-year-old Caesarstone without a single chip or ding. In my bathroom I definitely have eased carrara, a much sharper edge. It's two years old without any dings or chips, but I'm not moving pots and pans around in there. I don't see where it would matter if your edges differ slightly between rooms.

I had eased edge on my quartz for 13 years without a chip. I now have soapstone, again with eased edge, but it's just been installed so I can't say how well it will do.

I also have an eased edge, but the fabricator kept insisting it be rounded just slightly for safety reasons, and to prevent chipping. I didn't argue (much.)

I saw bevel in person yesterday and don't like it for the countertops, so I'll go with either pencil or the 3/8 radius or 1/4 radius.
