I would put in a slightly bigger pot. I hate splitting up roots. Repot it in a 50/50 mix of Miracle Gro Cactus soil and perlite. Or, if not this mix, make sure it is fast draining. Wait about a week after repot to water. When watering, stop when you start to see water coming out of the hole in the bottom. If any of the leaves are spongy, remove the entire leaf. Support the two leaves that are drooping if they aren't damaged.

And, most of all...get a second opinion. There's many here who know more than I do.

Great find! The plant needs to be repotted into a larger pot. The plant appears to be pot bound. As such, I'd suggest watering the plant the day before you pull it out of the current pot. When you pull it out, sometimes the plant just breaks into easy to identify clumps. At that point you can decide if more than one pot is necessary. The 50/50 Perlite/MG Cactus Mix is the right blend.

Even if it isn't potbound, the plant will really benefit from a fresh change of soil medium and you can get a look at the rhizomes and roots and see if they're healthy, trim back any dry, dead or rotten bits, etc. and replant at a good level in the pot. It's a nice looking plant.
