I planted walla walla last fall...they all looked great, huge thick stems..now they're all sending up seed stalks.

I ordered them because they were supposed to size up well in the northeast...mine are about 2" in diameter. Much smaller than I had hoped for.

Is there an onion variety that I can grow here(upstate N.Y), zone 5, that is slower to bolt, or won't bolt?
