Help! Painter arrives on Monday!

Hi everyone,
Would really appreciate some help with decoding on a colour scheme for our home. As it goes, the house needs a paint and I wasn't expecting work to begin for a while yet but... They arrive on Monday and I need to make a decision. The roof colour cannot be changed! It is a pale eucalypt colour. I don't want to change just for the sake of change bit am keen to brighten up. I was thinking a paler cream on main house with a white trim ( where the dark green is now). What do you think? Do you think my colours would work against the pale green roof? Any other colour suggestions? I love greige but I really don't think it would work with the roof! ? All suggestions will be gratefully accepted! Thanks so much,

    Super cute house! And I LOVE your roof! Yes, I think it will give it a fresh cottage feeling to the house. What color are your two, next-door neighbors houses?

      Love the roof. let it be your color. No need to be over the top creative with the house. And one color will emphasize all the angles. I would paint the house white!

      What a beautiful bungalow! And you have a great opportunity to do some great arts & crafts colors like a deep yellow body with lighter trim and front window and door in a dark brick red or dark warm green. If the foundation under window is green(?- I can't tell) I would paint it to match rest of brick and blend in. The green roof is gorgeous and I think it would be more craftsman architecture-like to do some color rather than white, which is pretty, but not really a craftsman look. Sherwin Willisms has craftsman colors and Benjamin Moore has historic palettes but I don't think they specify which colors fit which architectural styles. Have fun!

      Thank you all for your comments, ideas and inspiration. You affirmed what I was thinking so have decided to go with cream for main colour and off white for trims ( which are now Brunswick green). Do you think I should paint the door? At the moment it is in its natural dark cedar colour.

      The only color change I would suggest is pure white for your trim for higher contrast. However, since it's trim, and not the main paint color, you could experiment a little before deciding.

      I Love your bungalow. Maybe look at benjamin moore stone, and white dove. I also like schooner AF-520 or pomegranate AF 295. for the door, but a picture might help. Good Luck. My painters come monday too!

      That door is telling me it wants to be a spring shade of green. Something cheerful and cottage worthy. :)

      I like the color of the house that it is now, but it would look nice with the white trim all over OR a green trim all over. I would go for a green that is not so hunter green, and maybe more mossy. I agree that you should check out the historical colors, but I think the cream would be/is lovely. Maybe you could paint the front door the same color as your roof? Or a dark rusty color to pick up the brick.

      Thanks... No haven't decided yet. The painter thinks I should retain the timber look... Not sure!!!

      Just looked at the door again...If it were a craftsman style door, I might say refinish it and don't paint it. But it doesn't appear to be the case, so I would paint it and make it a beautiful color!

      I would add pops of plum on the trim! I love green and a dark shade of purple together. I think it's a great idea of having a lighter cream color as the whole house color.

      Your room looks gorgeous. Painters haven't made it around the front of our house yet so the door is still as it was. Can't decide on door colour!

      I agree. The dark brown would look great on a tudor, but your home would look best with cottage white windows.

      I vote for roof color, but a couple shades darker with the white trim. Then the door can be several shades darker yet. Very cute though!
