Rubbery leaves on this hoya means the roots are rotted. I would check them!

Oh no! I've been especially careful with watering this one.

I just unpotted it and the potting media was very sandy. The roots don't look that bad (I've seen a lot worse)

Looks good.New leaves mean good roots.Just repot in your mix.Add some kelp solution if you have it.

It looks perfectly fine to me. When you say "no longer stiff", do you mean rubbery or thin? Nothing looks abnormal in the photos.

Most if the leaves as well as the long stem have gotten rubbery.

Could having the plant too close to an ac vent cause this to happen?

Maybe?? All of my vents are on the inner walls of my rooms, so my plants don't even get close to them (not enough light). If you have a place to put it outside in full shade, I'd do that. Hoyas love the heat and humidity and fresh air and even if there is a problem with it, it's more likely to bounce back (as long as you don't put it in sun...)

Thanks. Keeping my fingers crossed. Could mites be a possible cause? I think my Bella is the reason for mite activity!

As a precaution, especially with new plants arriving, I've been a spraying fool with Forbid. I know everyone says they are a b_ _ch to get rid of!
