Well these peas grow about 5' tall. This is the first year i was able to taste any. They still seem to be segregating for a few traits including taste. Honestly taste wise i was not all that impressed. Not bad, but not as good as some others. So taste is definitely one trait to select upon in the future. This line of peas are from Joseph Lofthouse and i left a review from this years grow out highlighting this fact on his website (garden.lofthouse.com). These are somewhere about F6 (6th generation), i think, but in pea breeding terms they are still relatively early in their development. Still, Joseph is often generous with his seed sharing that it is worth checking out his website and inquiring if he has seed to share this year. If he does, you may be able to try growing your own this fall or next spring. :)

Great looking! My sugar peas didn't do very well this year, but am surprised I'm still getting them with temps in the 100s for most of the last few weeks.

Are you aware of the woman in England also breeding for red podded snow peas? You two should get together and at the very least, talk genetics, ans at best, swap some seed!

Hi Donna, yes. Actually Rebsie was the one that inspired all of us all around the world to recreate her project. Mostly because she went dormant in her breeding efforts and seed from her could not be obtained. But then we all realized that we could just recreate her efforts our selves and so a bunch of us around the world are all working on doing so.
