They are both really nice--- and I don't think they need to be matchy match.

The legs are so similar so I think that works to unify. I'd say they work nicely toegether.

They look like a similar fabric pattern. The second stool looks like it could be white from afar though. I think the two shades complement each other, the second stool looks like it could be in the same collection as the first chair.

Those are both really neat looking stools! The seat of the lower one looks especially comfy!

From my perspective the lack of lumbar support would definitely forbid that (lower) one, though. =:O Could that become an appropo concern at all for any of 'yours'?

Are you viewing your choices 'live'? I ask because on my screen the bar/counter height stool reads 'grey' and the shorter definitely reads 'oatmeal'.

If the overall room/area decor would support this; I would add further repetition by duplicating the upholstery 'nails' around lowest edge of second stool. JMO
