I have been waiting to see if you would post a couple more Andrea and low and behold there were - lol!

Your roses look stunning! Daring Spirit and Broceliande are very similar - how would you say that they differ? Scent, bloom shape, growth habit?

Thanks, Sharlene! I too was surprised how similar Broceliande and Daring Spirit were! They are quite similar on all regards and if I didn't know better I'd think they were the same rose. The scent is even similar but Broceliande is a bit stronger. I have had Broceliande a year or two longer, Daring Spirit was just planted last year. They both want to grow tall and narrow for me and are bushier up top.

We must be posting at the same time :)

Yes Medallion is huge! I'm going to go measure the fully opened bloom right now!

All your pics are wonderful, but especially all those pastel pink ones--so soft, delicate, and pure lovely!

But then Daring Spirit and Dream Come True shout out --Look at me. And I do--Wow, perfect pics of those loud beauties!

Beautiful pics. Clearly you are a striped rose fan. Me, too. The freckles on Hypnotized! are cool which reminded me of Monday night when I served as a volunteer chaperone at an all-night graduation party for our local HS. I got there just before 1 a.m. for my shift in time to see the hypnotist act with about seven of the graduates as guinea pigs. It was an absolute hoot what she had them doing and it was no act. I knew some of the kids.

She had one girl hold out her hands and count out the number of fingers as she tapped them. She counted off 11 fingers, recounting them to check the accuracy another 3-4 times, each time counting 11. The girl stared in amazement at her 11 fingers each time. Asked if she played a musical instrument, the girl nodded yes, the piano. The hypnotist said then maybe this would be an advantage. The girl agreed as she continued to stare at her hands.

Another funny one was where she a boy convinced he was pregnant with a belly bump. He was just amazed as he felt his "bump." She then induced labor with him having contractions, lying down on the floor, doing breathing exercises, and pushing to give birth. It's actually a little scary to think about the control she had.

Sorry, I apologize for hijacking the thread but I had to share my very recent experience. I now return you regular programming.

Gorgeous roses!! Of course, my favorites are the stripeys! Especially DARING SPIRIT and CABANA. Oh and I just love that photo of DR BROWNELL! I've never been interested in that rose because all the other photos I've seen were boring. Yours looks just beautiful!

Kate, thanks! I do adore my pastels! Brights are fun too and you are totally right about the attention grabber, Dream Come True is in a small bed by our back porch and it really steals the show.

Al, too funny about the hypnotist show! I have two middle schoolers and think those fun nights tbey do at the schools are great, I would love to see a hypnotist at one, maybe I'll suggest that! And no apologies needed I love hearing fun stories! I am for sure a stripey fan, I just live how every bloom is unique.

Thanks, Judy! I feel like a garden nerd but I do get excited when they finally start blooming hehehe.

Sara-Ann,thanks so glad you enjoyed! :)

Thorngrower, it certainly does lol! Let's see some pretties from our neighbors to the north!! ;)

Beth, thanks! I am a card carrying member of the stripey fan club lol! Now about Dr. Brownell, blooms like that don't last too long but when they are at peak I find them very pretty. They do open quickly though, unfortunately.
