i like rose soil in all my containers i use an organic citrus fertilizer which i mix with the soil i am by no means a citrus expert good luck......

Try Miracle Grow Citrus and Cactus mix if you do not want to use 5-1-1 mix.

Miracle Grow Citrus and Cactus mix is what I'm currently using. I wonder if the soil may not have been the issue since I had to split all lime trees from one pot initially.

I would love to use a 5-1-1 mix but i recall not being able to find one of them.

I would try the 5-1-1 mix if possible. Which component are you having trouble locating?

My version of Al Tapla's 5-1-1 Mix

· 5
parts pine bark mulch (remove ½” pieces through 1/2 inch screen)

· 1
part sphagnum peat

·
1-2 parts perlite (coarse, if you can get it)

· 1 Tb/gal
5-1-1 mix garden lime

· Controlled
release fertilizer (optional)

·
Moisten and wait 2 days before using

Thank you. I can definitely find those items. In fact I already have half of them.

Just to confirm, Should I be removing any bark larger than 1/2 inch or smaller than 1/2 inch?
