This was at the Home Despot on Lee Road in Orlando, FL. They had about 15 more. I picked this one because of the great branch structure coming out of the caudex and the white on the bloom. I don't have an adenium with a flower like that yet. Maybe I can do some cross grafts on other plants in the future.

My HD plant keeps blooming well, but is getting a bit of the yellow leafs and leaf drop, as well as a kinda soft caudex. I think this is just shock from repotting and fertilizing as the overall plant looks healthy still. Here are updated pics:

I really like the colors of this flower. Really white with a bold tip and throat. Good find!

I love this little guy. Such good color and form. One of the originals that turned me on to these beautiful and fun plants.

Your watering it different then the box store so maybe it is adjusting. No bugs? Watch it though

Thanks, no bugs, I think it is just shocked from the transplant and different soil conditions, schedule, and the roots being raised above ground. I would really like for the main caudex to harden up though. Does anybody have relative experience of a recently raised caudex getting soft and then hardening up under the sun and with regular care?

I love the red too. That little guy is my favorite plant. It started off as a standard looking, poor, small, Wal-Mart specimen with pinkish flowers. After 3 years of somewhat neglected care and a couple of repots and some dynagro, it turned out to be a beautiful little plant with some spectacular blooms. I think I am going to hard prune it next year and try to cross with my tripple red to get tripples in the middle stem and reds on the outside.

With the temp changing so much here. One of my caudex's slightly softened. I had to give mine a little more water. It took about 4 days till it became firm again.

Did you put it right out in the sun when you first transplanted it? I usually keep mine in the shade for a few days.

It is on my porch, which gets direct sun from about 3-8 PM. I am going to try to give it a little more water to see if that helps. Don't want to do too much though so as to keep the roots wet.

That HD plant took a tough time adjusting to the new environment, but I think I got it back to normal now.

Originally it was all like:

Too much bloom and florescence to be sustained in this environment with less sun and water. . . which led to leaf drop and a shrinking caudex.

After the adjustment and a lot of TLC, I now have a healthy tree.

I am gonna nurse this back to health with a couple of more branches and cut the tops off to try to graft some white flowers on my little pinkies now.

The strong shall survive!

I'm sure it will survive Daniel. All my bought adeniums had a bad period adjusting to their new environment, but they've all come out ok in the end.

I am sure it will... Funny my favorite adeniums are the little ones I abused for so long and then learned to care for instead of the giant fertilized varieties I tried not to kill. I think we grow attached to these plants, hahaha.

We so do.... maybe because of all the care we (have to) give them :-)
