Golden Buddha

Here is a shot of my new Golden Buddha. He went into the ground in the end of April, own root band from RVR, and is doing remarkably well! About 18" high & easily 2ft across.

I had surgery 3 weeks ago, and just got outside a bit more today. GB had bloomed all these lovely golden roses! I probably need to disbud from here on, but I am so happy to see these lovelies! My camera washes them out, but they are today a lovely butter color& have a nice, fresh scent. Black spot is everywhere from all the rain we've had, but GB only has a few wee spots. Thank you, Paul Barden, for developing this lovely, lovely rose!

Thanks! All so far seems to indicate a good outcome from surgery. Would have been able to get out last week for a bit, but I developed shingles! My friends are beginning to call me Job! Anyway, here in Raleigh, we expect a couple of days of unseasonably cool weather, and I hoping to spend some time out communing w/roses & pulling a few weeds. Hope everyone has a wonderful rose-filled weekend & Happy Father's Day to all the rose dads!

I have mine in a pot, and it still gives me beautiful orangade roses. Yours looks very nice, also. :)

Mine opened an orange sherbet color & turned egg yolk 2nd day. This 3rd day they are butter yellow. This spot gets full sun all day, so maybe yours will hold the orange longer. I'm thrilled that blackspot doesn't seem to bother it at all!
