Ceiling detail.

Love the details in the ceiling. Is that an inlaid wood or some type of wallcovering around the edge of the ceiling. Looks wonderful!

    It is the original decorations from 1880 - it is different shapes and sizes of wood lists mounted together to look like one with stretched canvas between, the canvas is decorated with painting - both stripes and flowers.
