Range Choice... Miele vs Wolf?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering between the 36" dual fuel Miele range (HR1934) or the Wolf (DF366). I want to know if anyone has owned either of them and can comment on their experience with them.

I have read that for the Wolf, the blue enamel might chip after a few years. I talked to my local sales and she said this was true initially when Wolf came out with the product but has since fixed the problem. I'm not sure if that's true or not.

I like Miele because it has a 10 year parts and labor warranty while the Wolf has only 1 year. Both ranges have similar specs with Miele having slightly stronger BTUs in the cooktops. However, Miele only recently starting manufacturing ranges and this model is relatively new so I'm unsure if is worth investing in their ranges.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

every client I have helped with high end kitchens have researched it and selected Wolf and have been happy FWIW

I ended up getting the Miele HR1934 dual fuel 36" range along with a Miele dishwasher. I'd also recommend to get the 10 year warranty if you get the Miele range because it has a lot of electronic components.

Stay away from Miele. I bought the 1134 Gas Range and after less than an year got an error code and oven no longer works and Miele refuses to help. Absolutely shockingly bad customer service.

wait what? it broke after 6 months and they are not fixing it? that’s insane. i have heard horror stories about their customer service but that is hard to believe. i am looking at wolf and miele so would love to hear more.

It’s a slightly more complicated story in my case. I had the oven shipped from US to Brazil for a new home I was building. But there was a delay so oven remained in original packing. When I did finally start using the oven it started giving problems after less than 6 months of use. I contacted Miele in US and Brazil. Brazil refused to help at all. Miele US pointed me to the replacement parts I would need which will cost more than $1500 as need to replace entire control board. The irony is that I purchased Miele because I thought it was rock solid reliable which was critical for me as I cannot ship it back to US. It has now been sat in my garage for 6 months. Looks brand new still but inoperable. I would never purchase a Miele range again. If you do a search you will see that there are many problems with these ranges which for the price they are charging is just plain absurd.
