Hi Monica, you want their "Mix This !" size Growstones. They were called Aerator size, which is what is in the new packaging. I bought a huge sack 5 years ago, it cost $19 and weighed about a pound and I have only used up a quarter of it.

I use "Plant!T" brand clay pebbles. Similar to hydroton, but available via amazon prime, and I found them locally so will continue using them.

For scale, a mini hair clip and a 2" terra cotta pot. My plants seem happy it it, mostly I mix it in with soil for a chunky mix but grow dadvidcummingii in semihydro.

Doing well. I'm working on recovering one of my obovatas. Not sure what's going on with him. I've been eyeing tawny's Obovata on eBay.

I use the larger grade of Growstone, the one originally called "hydroponic growth medium". Not sure what it's called now or even if they renamed it.

I was worried about the particles being so large, but it works well for me.

By the way, "Growstone" *IS* the brand. Unlike with LECA / clay balls, where there are many brands/manufacturers that produce it.
