My First Nepenthes and Sarracenia! I think...

After visiting my parents for a nice Father's Day weekend, my wife and I stop at Green Thumb nursery in Ventura California and I found my first carnivorous plants!

I've been wanting one for a bit now, I knew I would get a nepenthes pitcher but then I saw the Sarracenia and had to get it also.

They have been inside for now since its been 105+ degrees out side where we live (we miss the cool Ventura weather), the high was 109 I think.

I hope I can eventually keep it hanging outside on the edge of my patio permanently. It gets morning sun and then is shaded the rest of the day.

Check out the label below that was attached. It says to fill empty pitchers with water... does this sound legit??? Should I fill 10-15% or HALF of each pitcher with distilled water?

I am keeping the little sarracenia in a tray with distilled water on a window ledge for now. 100 degree weather just seems like too much to leave it outside in morning sun, even shaded in the afternoon. This sound right?

Thanks for checking out my new plants and all advice, IDing, discussion is appreciated!
