Does anyone recognize this short sunflower? It's about 2' high. The flowers are about 2" across. They just started blooming. The leaves are soft and fuzzy, give off a soft green/silvery look. I thought they were going to be Blanketflower, but they've shot up and started to produce yellow sunflower-like blooms. I have them in 2 flower beds and I've seen them in town in other flower beds and a park bed and by the look of placement it's clear none of us planted them in their current locations. Is this considered a weed? Just a little something the birds brought in? Somebody's bird feed that got spread around? Any ideas? Sorry this photo is sideways. Houzz has it's own ideas on photos.
