<b>Baker's Dozen (part 2)</b>

Folklore. I have volunteer morning glories that I need to remove as they are trying to overwhelm the plant. <sigh> The bunnies aren't eating the morning glories fast enough. LOL!

Drop Dead Red--the color is not quite accurate. There is NO orangish tinge (which the camera is showing) in the flowers. The color is a true scarlet with no hint of blue or orange. I can't detect much scent, either. The last photo also shows some petals on the open flower, each with a single white stripe.

Tuscan Sun. What a lovely shade of burnt orange at first opening! I have two of these, each one in their own pot.

Lovely blooms. I especially like Double Delight.

Your bunnies eat morning glory?

No far. I need those in my life.

ordphien, I opened my front door about a week ago--earlier than usual, around 8am, and noticed movement. To my surprise I had two bunnies out along the front walk chowing down on morning glory volunteers a few other things--grass, weeds, etc. I didn't realize rabbits would eat those. As long as they leave the roses alone they can eat the morning glory buffet until it's gone. :-)

The Chicago Peace and Peace flowers look nice in close-up, but the plants are getting blackspot. It has been so hot and humid that I haven't been able to spray. Well, I COULD if I crawled out of bed at the crack of dawn........but I SO not a morning person. Ha! TMI?

Looks like our area is getting a slight break from the heat on Friday, so I may try to spray just to keep things from progressing further.
