What style is your home? Those doors are very specific styles.

They are both beautiful interior doors. I agree the styles are specific.

The horizontal 5 panel doors can be typical to urban housing that had a lot of development in the early part of the 20th century. Newer cities. This door could have a more urban application.

The door with the vertical panel may work better with country house feel and older more "Victorian" vertical lines. This door is my personal favourite because I love any version of farmhouse styling.

Both work for any "Arts and Crafts" styling and the big board trim reinforces this.

Whichever you choose, use the same throughout a contiguous space. If your house is open plan, then it would be an entire floor.

I don't think it's busy in itself. it's a neat look, but it does depend on amount and size of the environment. how many is several, and how big is the hallway? any pics of your actual space?

It is a new construction-craftman style/ transitional. Hallway has 1 double bipass door and 4 doors with 2 other doors leading to bedrooms a little off the side.

that's quite a few, but it can work, but would need to be properly decorated around for balance. how wide is the hallway? is it open/ partially open to another area?

I do not think that door style will be too busy as long as you keep them a solid color. The doors are so uniform and balanced that I can't imagine them looking overwhelming, no matter how many doors you have in a hallway. Gorgeous looking doors!

The hallway starts from the garage through mudroom to the open kitchen/dining/living room area..the hall doors lead through to bathroom, laundry, 2 single door closets, one double door closet and the 2 bedroom doors are in a little nook off hallway so doors are not parallel to the view of hallway.

This is the hallway-2 bedroom doors are off a little nook on the right side (not seen when looking directly down the hall, but can be seen when walking down it.

A 3 panel door like this is a good compromise when you have several doors close to each other.

I personally like Horner's example best. Love the trim. The header especially, very similar to what we are installing in our 1950s house. Adds a lot of distinction.

I vote to stay with the six panel as it is traditional with this house style. It is less busy looking than your other option because the second one has different shapes which makes it appear busier. Also you usually see the second choice pattern when the upper section is glass.

I like Horners style too. Make sure they are solid wood to :)

I wish so bad we could have wood doors and wood trim-but not in the budget
