To each his own, but I do hope that they're using museum putty to anchor them! As for my personal opinion . . Eewww!

Are they real birds, stuffed and colored turquoise? If so, I agree with Lynn...eww!

Someone paid particular attention designing each individual display shelf to the size of the bird on display. Perhaps these are the Fitz and Floyd collection. Can anyone tell what the turquoise-colored items in the cabinet are?

More than likely, the ducks/geese are antique Chinese porcelains.

ETA: Dorinda of Real Housewives of NYC has a collection of antique Chinese Zodiac figurines on her mantel.

I recognized the collection, then had to look through a couple of magazines--Mackay Boynton, featured in the June edition of House Beautiful:

Easy ways to showcase multiple collections ...

I'm impressed with that fiddle leaf fig in the corner on the left. I can't get mine past 3 feet.

Yes, I do remember this home featured in House Beautiful. I must say it looked much better there, on the glossy paper and with the close-ups..I was impressed. I didn't necessarily like every detail, but I liked the general feel.

As for the fiddle leaf fig-mine also got awfully tall. Now I start worrying, because new place will have lower ceilings..

I also don't know how we will get it there once the new house is ready. One of us will have to sit in a mover's truck probably, holding this tree...

Aprilneverends, I was hoping the fiddle leaf in the photo was fake. ;-)

How long before they are that tall? I've had mine for 6 months and only 1 new leaf.

Lol! No, definitely not fake:) Mine is older though-I got it in March or April 2014..it was also probably 3 feet or so. Now it's definitely close to 8...

I agree with Katlan.......I really like the chairs....not much else.

I think it's a very creative way to showcase their collection, would love to see it in person.

I like the color of the birds. Also the coral colors in the flowers and painting. So the tablecloth stuck out to me as dull and not quite fitting in, color-wise. Plus it looks like it wasn't quite long enough so someone added fringe; and they couldn't find matching fringe so they just used white.
