Need to keep groundhog away from my Heuchera

Noticed two nights ago leaves and stems bit off cleanly about in the middle of the stems. I have a few squirrels,deer,no rabbits, but two very large groundhog that live near my plantings. I'd noticed them eating grass and discovered they(groundhog) only get water from plants. I'd really like them to stay away from my Heuchera. Any suggestions???

Sprinkle cayenne pepper on the heuchera? I did this on my hostas and heuchera to stop rabbits from eating the flowers and it worked. Might work for groundhogs.

Red Pepper, Garlic and Moth Balls are the cheap dollar store things you can try. Dirty Kitty Litter. I put this in the woods to keep them away from the house. I use Bonide All repellent because I have deer, rabbits, groundhogs, and every animal known to man.

You can make your own with one egg, garlic, hot sauce, gallon of water. Shake and spray.
