Will these plants grow well together?

HI!!

A frened of mine gave me some coelacanth seeds and I'm thinking of planting them next to my hydrangea, but she says they get kind of big and might take over my garden. I think I could make it work though. Is this a good idea? or should I plant them somewhere else?
