Mersie :) My hand is itching to snip that bloom but it looks so good on the plant! Waiting for casablanca and pico to bloom now. I saw a bunny in my yard today. Just hoping that it does not come back to eat all my flowers and veggies.

    That clerodendrum is divine.

What's the bush and fragrance like?

Thanks Ordphien.. fragrance of this bush is really divine with almost like grand duke jasmine notes. It doesn't have the musky notes of jasmines. And the best part is you smell the flower both day and night. It blooms all through the summer till frost. The flowers bloom literally as a bouquet. The leaves are vile smelling. This bush is invasive and very aggressive in growth. So container planting is recommended. I got this plant literally as a twig from a neighbor and the same year it produced 3 plants from the roots. It doesn't like winds, Lt shade preferred but does ok in full sun with lots of water, is susceptible to spider mites but other than that carefree plant.

Been busy, but just looked through June pics and, wow!

Had to share my magnolia 'St Mary.' Truly an amazingly beautiful flower, and fragrance fills that corner of the garden. This one measures 11 3/4 " across

WOW Maggie, what a gorgeous magnolia flower!!!

My wrightia religiosa is blooming for the first time.

Cym. Valerie Absolonova — I think it has a similar scent profile to Magnolia grandiflora, way lighter though.

    Lovely pics, everyone!

Left my Belle of India jasmines at a friend's house while we were on vacation for a week and they're larger than ever and smothered in blooms. Maybe I should leave them with him more often? :)

    July is sambac jasmines time.

The Jasminum sambac I got from Bunti off eBay last year from Aloha Tropicals is finally producing large double blooms. I can see why Bunti loves it so. It's in the front on the right. For comparison Belle of India is on the left and Mysore Mulli is in the back.

Glad to hear from you Robert and I am glad you like the variety.. I am not selling plants for money. Just in case, if I kill the plant there will be someone who has it and I can get it again from someone.

    Haha! Good insurance policy. :)

Went to a local nursery today (Southwood) and saw that their tropicals were half off so I couldn't say no to a $12.50 plumeria. I got Incognito. It has a lovely light perfume scent. I've had one before but killed it.

This was also a great buy at $3. Strong warm fragrance.

Here's my aglaia odorata. For me, one in a top three of exotic fragrant plants. Hope one day, I'll have large aglaia in pot as Robert has. His plant is so lush and floriferous.

    A couple of sambacs:

buds on quisqualis indica and magnolia coco... for the first time:

Your Aglaia is beautiful. My partner thinks I need to put ours in a larger pot. Enjoy yours while it's still manageable! Laugh. Love catching whiffs of it under the arbor on hot summer days. :)

Aglaia is such a wonderful plant! Misha you will love the Rangoon creeper. Do you have single or double? My double started blooming this week.

All my fragrant plants have pretty much started blooming! It smells so wonderful :)

First bloom on Brugmansia 'Greenbank' that I received as an unrooted cutting last fall!

Cuttings root fast in water or potting mix. Flower has a good scent (I might change that to great after more blooms open) and I absolutely love how dark green the leaves are even in full hot Oklahoma sun until about 3 pm or so. Plant does tend to send up suckers from the base so be prepared to cut them back unless you want multiple trunks.

Jasminegal, my rangoon creeper is single variety. I can't wait to see the flowers and theirs colour change, experience the scent... I've read so much positive things about it. Your double is amazing!

Finally got to smell M. doltsopa Silver Cloud. The scent is strong but no where near as potent as Magnolia grandiflora. Up close it smells like rubber but a little farther away the scent is like cinnamon or allspice.

Cymbidium ensifolium var 'Mayor Chen Red' has one bloom spike open. Love its scent. Just wish it bloomed as long as Aglaia odorata and Chloranthus spicatus.

Here are flowers from my Jasmine Grand Duke of Tuscany -

    Had to share this beauty

My first tuberose just opened yesterday, and I have about 50 more on their way after they've done so we'll year after year. Aglaia odorata on the left and my citrus making fruit. Aloysia virgata (not pictured) has been blooming since I got it in late June. Buddleia 'lochnich' has begun as well and nice smell and super floriferous.
