This is very interesting reading! I did get a laugh, however, when I was reading the part about mosquito control. Instead of reading the word "lush," I read it as "lunch," lol! Yep, I'm lunch for mosquitos. We just had to do some changes in our French drain siting due to the guys who installed our sprinklers completely removing and not replacing the drains I had. That discovery (after repeated mud flowing into pool) caused my son-in-law and grandsons to make some upgrades. So far, so good!

We could use a couple of French drains in some places. We have some trees dying. I'd like to wait and see the impact of the water table without their thriving roots. Stuff gets complicated!

I guess they would be rain gardens in the right microclimate. In fact, that's a very good point. I have contour lines going all over the place. I need to accept taht I'm going to screw something up and just DO IT. ha
