New Episcia, name?

I found this unlabeled plant (with a Costa Farms label on the pot) in a BB store somewhere in Alabama. It looks like an Episcia to me but it's been years since I had one and I'm wondering how to care for it. Reading on this forum I've found that it needs high humidity and can't go below 60 degrees F. Also that some people grow their Episcias under domes. This plant is too big for that I fear but the humidity in my home stays in the 50


to 60% range so maybe it will be OK. And I keep my home at at least 62 degrees in the winter. I looked at pictures on line and think it might be War Paint. Right now I've got it on a little stand by my back door where there is a wide overhang and it gets maybe 2 hours of morning sun. I would hang it in a south or west window for the winter. Can anyone offer a name or advice?

    There are so many similar Episcias - and the color chages depending on the amount of light - so if it is a War Paint - or Pink Acajou -or one of the other subspecies of Episcia cupreata - who knows. Your conditions are good, 50% humidity is plenty. It is very overgrown -and it is a fast growing plant - so I would take some stolons - and root them up in a new pot. If you just stick them in a soil - and have them covered with a baggie or a some kind of dome - away from direct sun - they will be rooted in a week or 2. Episcia doesn't have deep roots - in nature it is a ground cover - so shallow bulb pot is plenty - and with 5 stolons in a pot - you will have a nice basket. Afterwards you pinch new stolons so the original cuttings will grow bigger to fill the pot.

    62F is too low - so you find some warm spot in your house for winter - kitchen is usually warmer. You do not need to cover it .
