Help with Travertine pool coping

We are having a pool built now. The grout they used with the coping is really dark. The pores of the travetine are full of grout and it looks dirty. This is our first experience with travertine so any help would be appreciated. Should they have used a grout similar to the color of the tile?

I would think the grout should match the tile. What is in your contract as to grout color? Did your builder ask you to choose a grout when you chose your coping? I think a call to your pool builder is in order. That is not attractive.

We did not choose a grout color when we picked everything out. Met with builder today, they always use gray apparently. They offered to grind out grout and put a different color in. We haven't decided what to do yet.
