I suspect most gardeners have their tried and true workhorse shrubs, with Potentilla and Spirea coming to mind. While I use both of them, I'd like to give a shout out to Hypericum. I believe these pics are 'Sunburst', but I'd have to dig into my files to be sure. In any case, this shrub is one tough cookie that is an absolute bee magnate. It has a long bloom cycle and nothing seems to bother it. I've got two other areas where I've used Hypericum, and they're all doing very well.
