Just out of curiosity, what are those black tubes on the ground in the last picture? Is that some kind of drip irrigation system? How many hours a day of direct sunlight do your zinnias get? How frequently are you applying the fish emulsion, and how do you apply it? Does the fish emulsion mean that you are an organic gardener?

Callirhoe123, The link didn't work but I will google that. I guess I'm wondering if all are lost or if some can be saved. They don't all look like the same malady to me.

zen_man, it's drip tape. I'm not fully organic. I try to use less invasive measures, but if something is going to die or be un-useable then I want to fix it.

I have fed with fish through a watering can as a foliar and soil drench probably every other week. I'm not great about exact schedules. I also had some humic acid mixed with the fish, and the last time I also used Jobes organic, soluble fertilizer.

I found the article referenced above, thanks! I do have some copper, maybe I should spray with that and see how they do. The article didn't say if they should be fully removed.

Zinnias don't like rainy weather. They can be prone to disease. I find its best to water them from the base if possible. They are very easy to grow, as long as they get full sun, but too much moisture and humidity is not good for them.
