Cycads invulnerable to Gophers?

I've given up on exotic palms..too many are Gopher food in a few months or even days.

But,I don't think I've read of Cycad growers having a problem. I have a few in ground. I think Gophers have ignored them. They grow,if slow.

What do you think?

I don't know about Gophers but I have DEER, BIG TIME. They never touch any of my cycads (or palms for that matter).

Gophers can and will munch on cycads, though they are somewhat toxic... had gopher damage innumerable times... but rarely fatal. Rabbits eat new cycad leaves, too. Seem to tolerate the toxicity OK for some reason.
