Hubbardton Forge is very distinguished and respected in the lighting industry. All fixtures are created one at a time, by hand in Castleton, Vermont. To answer your question, yes - the quality most definitely supports the price.

We have 3 pendants from Hubbardton Forge in our office and they are gorgeous and well worth the extra penny. In fact we are now doing a kitchen remodel and are seriously considering splurging again on some pendants from them. I highly recommend them.
