I use 1 cup VC to each gallon of water, I have found brew time is variable to the temperature. I usually call it ready when it has a head of froth on it. Also I put the used VC back in the worm bin and the worms love it. This was my first year making tea so I did a little experiment when I planted my tomatoe seeds, same everything except I watered half with the worm tea. At first could not tell any difference but by the time I was ready to transplant into the garden I could not believe how much greener and stockier the plants were, made a believer out of me.

It seems common that VC and seedlings is what make people real believers. I planted 2 cherry tomato seedlings at the same time, 1 with just a sprinkling of VC (I am using store bought because I just starting doing my own) and 1 without. The VC seedling was darker green and grew its first set of true leaves several days quicker.

It got much cloudier once I massaged the...uhm...pantyhose (sorry, but im making poop tea and we all know what that thing kind of looks like lol)

I think that is a great idea about feeding the remainder of what I have to the worms because it only has maybe 1/2 a cup of VC with the majority being the cow manure compost they seem to love so much.

The temperature runs between 70-75 degrees. How long would you estimate it to take to form a good froth at those temperatures?

I normally get what I'm looking for in about 24 hours, but I use 100% VC. Never tried with regular compost and a small amount of VC, nor made compost tea so don't know what that looks like.
