Here are the pics to the adjoining octagon sun room.

I tried pulling them away from the wall but then I feel like it's in the way of one of the doors. I am no good at this stuff.

Do a sketch of the room for yourself with a mark where the doors are, and cut out little paper mock-ups of your furniture. Move them around on paper so it will give you some idea what it could look like in person. I agree with havingfun, move everything away from those walls...it will open the space while making it cozier. You could opt to put the sofas across from each other just in front of the fireplace with a coffee table or large ottoman in between and the chairs at the end also facing the fireplace though maybe at a little angle...play with them a bit and see what you like. Right now it looks as though the room is being prepared for a dance or recital of some kind - it's a little stage!
Some art on the walls, small tables around where the windows are, maybe with those green walls some deep blue curtains going from ceiling to floor would help bring a little something to the room. That green is the easiest to play with - it's in nature!

you do not need a walkway from the door to the fireplace. you could also put the chair over by the window. so is there a tv?

Using 1/4" graph paper, draw all of the room's measurements and add markings to show location of fireplace, windows and doors. Then measure, draw and cut out all your furniture pieces on 1/4" graph paper. Arrange your "furniture" several different ways until you like it. Then do it with your actual furniture. Coziness requires that you are within speaking/hearing distance of your guests, and that isn't happening with all the furniture against the walls. Once you have finalized your layout, you may want to add an area rug to fit the arrangement...measure big enough so that the front feet of your seating pieces will have their front legs on the rug. Then you can add small tables, a coffee table, light fixtures and table lamps (where possible), and finally, wall art.
