You could probably win a ribbon at a succulent show with this one. Wow!

It has some damage to the leaves, looks like scarring from anthracnose or maybe just burned in the sun (although it's not located to suggest that) - on the other side. I was just mesmerized by the spiral form of it (and spikes, I am drawn to the dangerous ones). It looks big in the photo but it's in a 6" pot to give you an idea.

Last week at the Huntington show I bought a cool Sans and when I got it home only then did I notice strange color brownish green splotches on several of the leaves. Fearing for my other plants, I applied Listerine, which killed whatever it was. Listerine does nothing to healthy leaf tissue, but the brownish splotches are now bleached scar spots. Oh well, I will examine all parts of the plant future purchases.

I just purchased a powelli that looks very close to this, NextO. The funny thing is, I didn't notice how much so until I was standing over it tonight and saw the twist! I got it from JC so I'm going to bet the name is correct. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and post it.

Nice acquisition vitorama - it's a real beauty, has a little more arch to the leaves than my hybrid. Do you ever show your plants? I have thought about it, not to win anything, but for educational purposes. Right now I don't have the time for set up, pick-up, etc. I have been intending joining the local C&S Society, soon.

NextObsession, What type of Listerine mouth wash do you use? The alchol or alchol free?

I used to own several variegated Clivia plants. I purchase an Amaryllis and it spread a fungus to all my other plants including all my Hippeastrum. All I could do was dispose of everything and years later start over. I purchased seeds from China many years ago. Tried again but got ripped off like most things coming from China.

I bet that var. Clivia is going for $100 or more.

NextO, I've never shown my plants but it would be fun. The closest C&S society around me is NYC, never, or almost an hour away, maybe. I'll bet the NYC chapter is awesome though.

By train or ? My mother is from Hastings-on-Hudson and my father was from Yonkers, every heard of those towns? Dobbs Ferry? Just kidding, I know you have. I've been to HoH and Manhatten a couple times but not for years. I would imagine the NYC C&S Society would be intense - there are some serious growers from what I can tell from other forums.
