Has anyone ever ordered Hoyas from Iyares on eBay?

Has anyone ever ordered Hoyas from Iyares on eBay? If so how long did it take and did the plants arrive in good condition? I've sent messages to Iyares and they seem pretty friendly and ready to answer any questions I may have.

I have ordered from them a few times... Let me start by saying they were very eager to please and correspond with me. I live in WI and mail here takes FOREVER. It took a month or more for my orders to get here (with the exception of one order that took 2 weeks for some reason). All orders were packaged immaculately and the plants were HUGE. After a month of travel though the plants were rotting in the box. They were very kind to send replacements and I was able to salvage cuttings from everything except hypolasia (which is a pain in the fanny anyway). I think the more robust leaved species do best and anything with thin leaves is a gamble but I am always game to try! Hope this helps.

Ooof. Nice that they had you covered though. And out of curiosity, as I used to live in the UP, are you in Northern Wisconsin? I have shipped to the "banana belt" of your state without issue, but horribly delayed mail reminds me of home, hahah. Good to know about this vendor, I am always a little tense doing business with new vendors for the first time.

Do they offer EMS (or any other expedited) shipping? The cost sucks, but if you are getting some valuable (subjectively to you and / or objectively by price) plants, then I get the impression from people who have ordered from Thailand multiple times that paying for expedited shipping makes sense, statistically. I mean you might get lucky once or twice with the cheap snail mail shipping, but eventually the low probability of success catches up with you, and you get a mostly or completely dead box. :-(

honestly (and i'm just curious), y would you want to order from their ebay shop?

they don't sell anything that i haven't seen being sold by the u.s. retailers on ebay.

then the inflated price for a cutting, pricey shipping and the risk of receiving a dead product seems like it's not quite worth it.

each cutting is at least $20 plus $20 shipping. y not just buy directly through a retailer in thailand and get a larger quantity and choose from a selection of plants you haven't seen sold online by a u.s. retailer?
