How old are the p sofiense seedlings? I have only had one out of 8 germinated, and it's been the same little thing ever since.

The Paypodium seedlings are approx. 4 - 4 1/2 mths. A friend in Australia sent them to me. A few of the other species, I did not manage to germinate.

That is a nice plant. Often variagated leaves are too misshapen and deformed, or the feature is too hit and miss throughout the plant. This one has nice foliage. I'm guessing the flowers are sterile looks like it's working parts have become petals

Rick. Nice variegated leaves and flower. I will buy a few of these next week. The seller told me that the plants are dropping the buds. Is there a secret to keep the buds/flowers?

I cannot say that I do anything, other than when they have produced buds. I keep my watering at a normal period of time and let the trees dry back, but not really dry. When the buds have started to swell, I then make sure that the trees do not dry back. I do not keep wet, but not drying back as much as before.

Also, the fertilizer I like to make sure it has Boron in the list of macro nutrients.

I have started to move my trees into filtered sunlight situation, once the buds have swollen. With humidity and not direct sunlight, the color is more pronounced.

If they make pollen I guess you could always try. I'm no expert. But doubles in hibiscus (and by the looks of it adenium) seem to emerge as modified stamens.

Interesting thing w this Variegated plant. The second bloom has opened and it is different. Will have to see what the others look like.

I think this is the best looking variegated adenium I have seen. The red contrasts super nicely with the foliage. Maybe you'll graft some tips onto root stocks to share around later. ;)
