I am sorting through my Diamond Queen & Diamond King Seedlings to reduce numbers. Going to give some away to make room.

I wish I could send a bunch of plants to one location in the U.S. and then they could be sent out within the U.S. to those liking them. Actually am going to check on this. Would only need to get one Phytosanitary for all of them. Worth a check, I think.

My soil mix changes slightly depending on what I can get. I use a mix of

Coconut Husk chunks (small) or Fir Bark

Horticultural Pumice

Grit, Cherry Stone#2 or Perlite (med.)

All of equal quantities.

I add 1Tbsp of gypsum/Gallon of mix, micronutrients.

I know want you mean, Conny. I want to tour Rick's garden too.

Great plants, Rick. How old are they? If left undisturbed, do the roots spread out naturally?

Pagan, Martin grows natural roots. I know the a lot of theses tree's get centipede roots. I want mine to lay flat on the upper soil. This will take training. I have time.

What does the phyto cert cost from Canada to us? You can send them to me Priority mail in the states is just a couple bucks for a plant, or even a couple like that. Then it's 3 days anywhere in the contiguous 48

I need to check it out. I know someone that has a nursery here and ships plants. He said that the Phyto from here is nothing like it is for us to get one within the U.S. I have had prices from $75.00 - $200.00 given to me, but I think it maybe more for the trouble or hastle to get it for them?

The thing here will be to check cost of Phyto., whether I need an Export Permit from my Agriculture Dept. and if Adeniums fall under CITES?

Rick, great plants! You should open a nursery. ;-)

Btw, CITES only concern endangered and protected wild plants, not bred plants (horticulture).

Thanks Martin. I have never looked into the list of plants in regard to CITES. It would be nice to grow them and be able to sell some, but it seems that there is really not alot of people here in Canada that are aware of them or are interested.

Would like it for the purpose of continuing to start new ones. It brings much pleasure.
