Palm fruit and tree id needed. Is this fruit edible?

Previous owner planted this palm tree.. Now its fruiting. Can someone please id this tree/fruit ? Is this fruit edible? The tree sheds a lot of fruits on the ground. The fruit smells fragrant and taste bit tangy (took a small bite to taste). Here are the pics:
