That's so cool, NextO! I bought a subtilis awhile back and it came with two orange seed pods on it. I don't know if they are viable after all the shipping and sorts. I don't even know when to harvest them! Any ideas?

The fruit on my "Parva" was ripe very quickly - they are soft and squish easily when ripe. Rinse off the orange flesh, rinse the seeds in diluted bleach solution and plant them on the surface of moist, not wet, medium (fine bark & perlite). With the Clivia I put the pot into a plastic bag to keep it from drying out, and into a bright light place indoors (although heat helps, so maybe outdoors in summer?). The fruit on the "maybe-raffillii" isn't as quick to ripen as S.parva, I'm still waiting.

I'm sure they're still viable as long as they're attached to the plant. When you see the flower stalk turning dry & brown from the top down, that's a good sign too that the fruit it ripe as it won't be long before the whole thing dries out and the seeds/fruit won't be getting nourishment from the mother plant. Fly away baby seeds! time to leave the nest.
