Pimento pepper?

So I bought some pepper plants that I was led to believe were pimento peppers. They've started sprouting fruit, but they seem much too large, and look a lot like small green peppers. If anyone can let me know if these could possibly be a variety of pimento, please let me know. I love all peppers EXCEPT bell peppers, so that would be quite disappointing. The pepper pictured is close to 4 inches from stem to bottom. Thanks for any help you can provide!

    I always thought that pimentos were nothing more than red bells...which are, btw, completely a different flavor than a GREEN bell. And if you let that green bell ripen to red....voila! Love the flavor of colored(ripened) bells...hate green.

    Side note: regarding the label on your plant as being pimiento--- although chile is the Spanish word for any variety of pepper, I believe they also use the term pimiento. Much like the British calling them Capsicums.
