Great looking tree!

very nice.. I hope you use the fruit. In the Philippines where it originates from, its used to marinate barbecued food and also used like lemon to flavour dishes. Even made into lime curds and lime bars.

Ianna and shebasheba, in the Philippines, I had one of my most delicious meals ever. It was grilled prawns with a calamansi and mango sauce. The calamansi sauce was a bit tart/sour, but was completely offset with the sweetness of the mango chunks. It was absolutely scrumptious!

Nice looking tree. I don't think I've come across a four winds tree picture that looked bad. They've got some nice trees. I'm tempted to order some of their potting mix.

figsinhawaii - glad you like the dish. there's nothing like barbecued seafood with a dip of soy, calamansi juice and garlic.

Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes on my tree. I think it's looking good--seems to be greening up a bit and I see more buds and a few tiny fruit developing and a couple more ripening. : )

Lanna and Figs--oh, yes, I'll be using the fruits! I love calamansi. Actually--I love to just eat them fresh! And of course I'll use it for cooking. When they have been on the tree long enough, though, I really think they are delicious fresh--the sweet tender peel and the tart juicy flesh. I really crave them, and I can't wait until I have a nice supply from my tree!

Sheba, I'm the same way, I like eating them fresh right off the tree! They pack a real punch for such a small fruit.
