Home Depot has gray 3x6 subway tile for free...well, almost...less than $3 per sq ft.! Search for "Daltile Rittenhouse Square Desert Gray 3x6 Field Tile" on Home Depot's website and you'll find it. Or search for "U.S. Ceramic Tile Bright Dark Gray 3 in. x 6 in. Ceramic Wall Tile" which is a dark gray that looks like a pretty close match to those in the photo above, for 58¢ per tile ($4.64 per sq ft).
