Sorry I've been absent. Work, work workwork. Also my old tablet keeps losing my posts before I can submit them and then I can't bear to retype them. ah, I should check in with my newer Fire tablet. I'm not in the habit of using that yet.
Work has been nonstop for several months and will continue busy for at least one more, then things will simmer down and I'll have weekends again.
I have been busy at home. My garden buddies helped set up the raised beds and we're starting to get tomatoes and potatoes and tons of herbs. We've been having weekly dinner/weeding parties. We got half the garden built and filled this spring. H is moving away this winter, but he commented that Boulder is only a 9 hour drive and he should come back next year for planting and harvest. He also said we should get the rest of the beds built and filled this fall...I'm all over that.
It's been a hot summer, though thankfully not humid here. I haven't been upstairs to weave in weeks. I have been reorganizing the kitchen and will add some of that progress to the organizing thread, when I've caught up on it.
I did some canning last weekend. I had gotten some lovely tall cylindrical Weck canning jars only to find they are too tall for standard water bath canner. I went up to THE place around here for canning stuff and walked into the 142nd annual sale and walked out with a big pressure canner-$50 off, limit 6 (!). My things to can list has exploded.
