Thank you. I will try finding his post. The problem I am having is that I got a cutting in january and planted it in compost and perlite medium like I do with my other cuttings, but since January, the cutting is firm and not discolored, but not even 1 root. I am going crazy with this one. Haha

where do you live? and what are your temps and growing conditions like?

Hi Dave. I live in madrid spain. But I have a heated greenhouse for the winter time. The cutting was in a heated greenhouse on top of a radiator about 80ºF. Thats where I keep all my orchids during the winter cold days. Then in may, I brought the cutting out in full sun on concrete floor so that it can get heat from the bottom as well as top. Its about 35ºC( 95-100ºF) It sterted to grow a few tiny leaves, but it just stayed like that since may

Dankhara, I've had the same thing happen. In February I received a non-rooted cutting with 2 tiny leaves, potted it and kept it indoors. It didn't grow any more leaves, but about 2 months an inflow started growing!

6 weeks ago I moved it outside, and accidentally hit the pot and the cutting fell out: not even the tiniest of roots on it. Meanwhile the inflow is growing and growing.

Then I repotted the plant last week, and - probably thanks to the heatwave we had recently - roots are finally appearing. So, be patient!

I'm a fan of rooting in soil (potting soil + perlite) in clear plastic containers, so you can see the roots when they develop -- then begin watering.
