What kind of dresser? Or what to put with the dresser?

"What to put" atop...room is contemporary with white dressers (his/white vertical 5 drawer), black nightstands, chrome lamps/hardware. Room has en suite so I took it's accent color (bright yellow) and mixed it with black/grey geometric for toss pillows on bed dressed in white linens. Husband doesn't wear any jewelry, no watch etc. He's a handy man kind of guy. Gets down & dirty...loves to work with his hands. You're on!

Personally I use my dresser tops for utilitarian things. Mine has jewelry box and related items. Husband wears no jewelry except a watch, so his has charging station, place for coins. If you need the light, a dresser can be a good place for a lamp. We used to have our wedding picture on our dresser but moved it elsewhere, but photos could work. But I wouldn't put decor items there just to fill space. Personally I don't want to have to dust around that kind of stuff in my bedroom. Particularly for a contemporary look, I think it makes sense to leave it blank, or let him use it for things he needs a place for.

I also use my dresser top for my jewelry box and other things that I want on my side of the dresser (we have a triple dresser) and my husband has the things he wants on the dresser on his side. He does not wear a watch either but he has his men's cologne and a few other things he uses enough on the dresser.
