Help!! Irrigation valve not working

10 years ago

I have a WaterMaster model irrigation valve. It suddenly stopped working. If I try turning the level on the valve to manually let water out, it does not work. However, if I try unscrewing the solenoid by turning it counter clockwise, the water starts flowing and the sprinklers start spraying.

What should be done to fix this?
