I am no expert, but the leaves are not typical as that of Thai Soco (as seedling in bloom now). The flower color is similar, but do not usually see nectar guides within the throat.

The whole Arabicum & Thai Soco breeding practice is so intertwined now it is really hard to know. They are all being crossed and it is difficult to know exactly.

A Thai Soco seedling, even if started from TS parent plant is not a TS if it does not have the growth habit or leaf type required to hold this name "Thai Soco". Much like an Obesum hybrid seedling from "Fierce Star" seed will not come true to seed as parent, so will not be "Fierce Star", just some similarities.

The Thai people are very regimented in there breeding practice and get good results with their seed.

This is information that should help out a bit. I am still learning about the differences and I am sure I will for a long time. Leaves will be smooth without hairs.

Bangkla
is a top level of Thai Socotranum hierarchy. Almost of Thai Socotranum came
from it such as Khao Hin Zon (KHZ), Diamond Crown (DC), Chada Petch (CHP),
Petch Sothorn (PST - Compack Bangkla) etc. Bangkla (BKL) is important for those
who like to learn the variety of Thai Socotranum. Because of seedlings of it
can grow up into various styles able to be declared as a new type.
