Hm. Assuming the graft takes, I usually have to wait until the next summer anyway to see it bloom. And this is if you are already using a scion from a mature plant that has already bloomed.

The youngest scion I have ever used is a yearling (it was dying and I wanted to save the cuttings). I grafted this on very young seedlings though (8 months?) and only a v-graft succeeded so I'm letting the seedlings mature more instead (yep, lost the yearling I was saving).

The take-away is that seedlings will mature to blooming age in about 8 to 18 months, anyway, faster if warm enough. The trauma of being cut and stuck to another plant costs some recovery time so I doubt you'd get the boost you're thinking of to result in shorter net waiting time. When I'm done with my morning coffee i'll edit that so it makes clearer sense lol

In any case I don't harvest seedlings for grafting material until I have seen it bloom. It might bloom the default pink and I'd have wasted a mature stock on which I could've grafted a better plant.

Good idea. I am inclined to try it.

One would have to have a supply of rootstock available to themselves in order to do enough successful grafts, to find out that you had Pink. Good practice gained in grafting trials.

For myself, I would wait until Isee what my seedlings show and then graft them onto multiple rootstocks.
