Hey Folks,

My raised beds were left unused over the past few months and dried out (I know, big mistake). They're now rehydrating and I will be amending with compost (homemade and Berridge organic), worm castings, and probably some Happy Frog soil conditioner. I'm sure the worms that were in there are now dead, and i'd like to re-establish a worm-population. I could dig some up from my yard but, as my time and energy is very tight, I'd rather buy a bundle of 500 healthy worms to install. I understand that Red Wigglers are not the best as they don't burrow deep and don't eat dirt, only vegetable-matter. European Nightcrawlers are available on Amazon and I believe they might be better? The ones I really want, "Lumbricus terrestris" don't seem to be available for sale, unless you happen to know where? So what do you all think about adding European Nightcrawlers to kick-start the garden?
