Our new kitchen backsplash goes all the way to the ceiling but we can't figure out how to finish the border on the end that is next to the door frame. Our contractor suggested the finish you see in the picture, but we think it's looking unfinished since the backsplash everywhere else goes all the way to the ceiling. We are debating either going all the way up to the door trim, or all the way around the door.
The crown molding is still not installed and it will go all the way to the ceiling as well and there's also a panel that will go on the side of the cabinet which will make the gap between the cabinet and the door frame slightly smaller.

What's the best way to finish this tile backsplash?
