Looks like they're just starting to ripen, but like bcjarrel mentioned, could be a tad of sunburn. Are those pods normally pretty well shaded with foliage?

Kevin

Thanks fellas for your input! We have had some record breaking temps in the recent past, so heat may be the culprit! I did find one very small pod that had ripened to the red color........ I've not seen them take on the brown look in the past, but we'll know real soon..........

Just sunburn. Nothing to be concerned about. Your peppers should ripen as normal. If you start to see solid white patches, get them some shade. Sun scald will cause the pepper to rot before it ripens.

Cool Tim! Guess I needed a little reassurance....... As stated, I've found Ed to be reliable, but I've been burned years ago by an unnamed seller when the Trinidad Scorpion hit the grid & it still makes me a bit paranoid when I see traits in a strain that I don't recognize......

Yah, I agree, it is sunburn. No big deal. However, I dont remember any of my super hots every showing signs of sunburn. Plenty of my others have however.

My 7 pot is exactly the same, but only where the fruit aren't shaded. It's been in the 30s Celsius here.
