There isn't a great deal that bothers these plants, other than some insect issues. I don't think that is the case here but it is possible. New growth on fatsia can be damaged by aphids and that will leave that tell-tale contorted and puckered foliage. Unsightly but not really harmful.

Careful siting is also important - these prefer a deep, well draining and richly organic soil in some shade. Watering is critical to get a new plant established but once that has happened, these are very tolerant of dry conditions. This may just be a case of the plant getting used to its new location or less than ideal planting conditions. I doubt it is of serious concern and it should eventually grow out of it, provided these issues are addressed.
